Bred by Dr. Brian Smith from University of Wisconsin-River Falls, this plum is a cross between a cherry and unconventional Japanese dessert plum.
The fruit is large in size and is cold hardy to as low as -35 ºF .
The fruit is a blue black with a red flesh and is incredibly sweet.
It ripens earlier than other plums and requires a pollinator.
It has a freestone pit meaning that the fruit will not cling to the pit
