This cherry has heart-shaped cherries in a deep, purplish red color that ripens in mid-summer.

It is excellent for fresh eating and pies.

The fruit is firm and juicy. 

Birds love the fruit. To deter them use Nylon or cheesecloth netting draped over the trees as the fruits begin to ripen.

With protective netting, you can ensure a plentiful harvest.
