This enchanting plant resembles a blooming rose and is aptly named 'Lenten rose' for its elegant display during the lenten season.

It has 3-3½” single white flowers adorned with delicate raspberry pink veins that converge towards the center of each petal.

Works great as a front-of-the-border plant for the shade garden.

The foliage itself is semi-evergreen. 

Plant them where they will not receive the hot afternoon sun.

A great plant for a woodland setting.
