Also known as the American filbert, the American hazelnut produces tasty nuts which can be typically harvested in September or October.

The tasty nuts grow 1/2" wide and 2 to 4 in a cluster.

To ensure a good crop plant at least two. 

In early spring the plant develops yellow catkins which are truly unique.

It has dense green foliage which turns shades of yellow and orange in fall.

It makes a wonderful hedging plant.
