Common Name: Spiderwort

Clumps of grassy green foliage with blue flowers contrast nicely.

Flowers from late spring and throughout summer.

It gets its common name from a secretion that is released when cut and becomes threadlike and silky upon hardening similar to a spider's web.

Use in beds and borders. Attracts butterflies. The perfect addition to the shade garden.
