Vivid magenta flowers in mid to late summer.
The foliage has a minty fragrance when touched.
Hummingbird and butterfly magnet!
Great cut flower. Use in beds and borders.
Good resistance to powdery mildew.
Dead heading spent blooms will encourage longer flowering.
Monarda performs best in full sun with well drained moist soil.
Dry soil promotes powdery mildew.
Provide adequate air circulation by dividing and thinning clumps to help prevent powdery mildew from occurring.
