Heart-shaped foliage emerges reddish-purple in color then turns blue-green, it later changes to beautiful shades of apricot and yellow in the fall.
It has a shallow root system making it ideal for terrace plantings.
It will perform its best in well-drained soils.

Interesting note: In fall, the leaves give off an enchanting smell of brown sugar.
