The roots of pallida iris can be used as a fixative for potpourri.

Bearded iris needs good drainage to perform their best.
When planting, make sure that the rhizomes are just barely beneath the soil level.
Planting too deeply will result in fewer flowers.
Attracts butterflies. Deer resistant.
