Hibiscus 'Dark Mystery'
Common name: Rose mallow 'Dark Mystery'
Huge 8-9" whiteish-pink with bright red-eye blooms in mid-summer and lasts for weeks.
The deep magenta veining in the petal's blooms gives it a 3D effect.
The foliage is dark green-purple in color and makes the flowers really stand out.
It is slow to emerge in spring so be patient. It may not pop out of the ground until June.
Pinch the shoots of young plants in early summer to encourage branching and more flower stalks to form.
Attracts butterflies! Deer resistant. Would make an excellent focal point in the garden.
