Panicum virgatum 'Shenandoah'

Common name: Red Switchgrass 'Shenandoah'

The lush green foliage begins to get red tips in late spring then eventually turning burgundy throughout the summer.

One of the quickest switch grasses to change color.

In early summer airy plumes of magenta appear above the foliage.

Makes a great specimen in the garden.

Also looks great when planted in masses.
