Common name: Chinese astilbe 'Visions in Red'
Reddish pink fragrant flowers in late summer.
Visions astilbe is said to be more drought tolerant than other varieties
Makes a great cut and dried flower.
Looks stunning when planted in masses.
Works great in containers.
Although astilbes are usually easy to grow they do require
good drainage and lots of water especially if they are in more sun.
Fertilize in late spring. Cut back old foliage in spring to help protect it from winter damage.
