Platycodon grandiflorus Sentimental Blue

Common Name: Balloon flower

Unique balloon-like flower heads pop open to display star-shaped bright blue flowers.

If squeezed the buds literally make a pop sound resembling the sound of a balloon popping.

Flowers in mid-summer. Foliage is slow to emerge in spring so be patient.

Great plant for borders or mass plantings. Deer resistant.
