Hibiscus 'Ballet Slippers'
Common name: Rose mallow 'Ballet Slippers'
Huge 7" wide flowers are white with dramatic red-eye and ruffled with a pink tinge.
This hibiscus produces flowers from the bottom up to the top of the plant, unlike other cultivars.
The flowers appear in midsummer and last until early fall.
It is slow to emerge in spring so be patient. It may not pop out of the ground until June.
Pinch the shoots of young plants in early summer to encourage branching and more flower stalks to form.
Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Deer resistant.
An excellent backdrop plant for the garden!
