The Alcea rosea Spotlight Series was introduced by Jelitto in 2010 who worked for 18 years to develop an all-colored Alcea that is a single flower.
Unlike other Alceas that are traditionally biennial, the Spotlight series are perennial.
Stunning 5' tall spikes of flowers bloom from early summer till late summer.
The single flowers are pure black-purple in color.
Beautiful in the cottage garden.
Great cut flowers.
Stunning when planted in masses.
Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.
