Attractive 1 1/2"- 2" yellow-orange-green flowers bloom in late spring, making a stunning display in the landscape.

The flowers are a hummingbird and honeybee magnet.

The green leaves resemble the shape of a tulip and turn a golden yellow in fall.

Interesting note: It is sometimes known as a canoe tree, due to the fact that the wood has been used to make dugout canoes.
