Miscanthus sinensis 'Strictus'
Common name: Porcupine Grass
This showy ornamental grass has yellow horizontal banding on green leaves.
It gets its name from the upright stiff foliage similar to porcupine quills.
Huge feathery pinkish-purple plumes appear in early fall.
Use as a vertical interest, mass plantings, screening, and containers.
Height: 4-6' (With plumes)
