If you love hydrangeas, this is a must-have for the landscape.

Bright cherry-red lacecap blooms in summer through early fall.

The red color is one of the brightest out there for hydrangeas.

It has a nice compact shape which makes it a great choice for foundation plantings, hedges, or even containers.

The lush green foliage turns burgundy in fall, the flowers fade to a deep mauve and contrast nicely with the foliage.

Flowers bloom on old and new growth. Requires little to no pruning.

If pruning is desired do so in early spring when new growth appears, just trim off old flower heads and any dead branches.

It will perform its best in slightly acidic soil and with morning sun and afternoon shade.

Avoid planting in an area that gets hot afternoon sun.

If your soil is more acidic the flowers will be a beautiful deep lavender-purple in color.
