Solid, dark red apples keep well in storage throughout the winter.

Ready for harvest in October and November.

It has a mild tart flavor and is excellent for eating.

Needs pollinator.

Interesting note: It was discovered in the late 1940s on an orchard in Wisconsin by Tom Connell.
