Common name: false indigo
This Baptisia has bold spikes of bright cheery yellow colored flowers blooming in June on clump-forming foliage.
After the flowers have faded they form unique seed pods which add ornamental interest.
Use in beds and borders
It is deer resistant and attracts butterflies.
Drought tolerant once established.
Looks stunning when planted by Nepeta Walkers Low and Caradonna Salvia.
