Actaea simplex ‘Hillside Black Beauty’
Common name: Black Bugbane, snakeroot
Also know as Cimicifuga simplex in the past
(All plants in the genus Cimicifuga have been transfred to the genus Actaea)
One of the deepest purple bugbane cultivars out there.
In late summer until mid fall delicate white tinged bottlebrush flowers emerge that are 24"
Use in woodland gardens.
Makes a great focal point in the garden.
Compliments nicely when planted with variegated and yellow leafed plants.
Flowering height: 5'
Exposure: Part sun to full shade
