Astilbe x arendsii 'Fanal'
Common name: False Spirea 'Fanal'
Bright red plumes form in early summer and last for weeks.
The plumy flowers are slightly fragrant and are great for fresh bouquets.
The foliage starts out with a reddish tint and turns to a lush green in mid-summer.
Although astilbes are usually easy to grow they do require good drainage and lots of water especially if they are in more sun.
Deer Resistant. Attracts butterflies.
