Amsonia tabernaemontana 'Storm Cloud'
Common name: Bluestar
The name speaks for itself, in spring the foliage emerges rather black in color and then fades to a dark green throughout the growing season.
Vivid blue star shape flowers form in spring and continue for weeks.
One of the brights blue flowers out there.
The lush green foliage turns a bright yellow in fall.
Great for borders and mass plantings.
Younger plants will have more of a vase shape, however make sure to give it plenty of room to grow for when it reaches its mature size.
Exposure: Full sun to part shade
